Regulating Gas Burners, were developed by former Hotwork Köster, presently Hotwork International in the 1990s. In the Original design these Burners where also available with 2 independent gas connections. Because of cost for an advanced flow regulation, there was no demand for these burners in the past. As todays demand has changed, Hotwork offers this Burner as well as advanced and remote controlled regulating gas burner with the option to control 2 gas velocities from the control room. Flame characteristics are the same as on the original Regulating Gas Burner (RGB), providing highly luminous and fully adjustable flames with high degree flame coverage maximising the heat transfer to the glass enabling a superior melting performance. The RCGB provides excellent NOx levels and excellent full flame control.
This Burner has two gas connections for two nozzles. The gas ratio can be adjusted from the control room with a fully automatic reproducibility depending on the furnace pull. The system incorporates a burner sealing plate, which eliminates the inclusion of tertiary air as well as fully adjustable burner bracket holder and gas non return valves. During reversal the burner is cooled by air against the heat of the furnace atmosphere. Hotwork and UAS specialised in supply of auxiliary equipment, including full gas control stations, furnace control system ( DCS ), full automation, exhaust gas analysis and Oxygen probes as well as tuning, supervision and commissioning services worldwide.
